We use mt-blacklist but that’s not enough. I’m trying the technique described in Software Monoculture (found via Danny Ayers).

Testing testing…
After changing the name of the comments script a nasty bot still managed to lock on, though now I’ve changed it again hopefully I’ll have enough time to come up with a Plan C. I’m also using MT-Blacklist.
btw, I noticed a couple of days ago that the FOAF blog had some ugly comment spam in older posts.
hi Danny. yeah, mt-blacklist was getting rid of most of the bots, but a bunch of kids were mucking about. It’s the same MT installation, so hopefully there will be a period of calm.
